Requirements
Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre required an unobtrusive tracking system to monitor the flow of customers around the centre. The aim was to maximise the revenue for each tenant and advertising board while reducing bottlenecks around congestion-prone areas, such as lifts and toilets.
Analysis
With 95 outlets; 20 restaurants & bars; a 14 screen cinema and a bowling alley needing to be covered, various directional and omni-directional antennas needed to be tested. An additional challenge was posed by the fact that the external antennas needed to be capable of working under marine conditions. Panorama's wide selection of GPRS antennas met all these criteria and were chosen for use at the centre.
