Rio
Rio de Janeiro required a security system capable of integrating the Police, the Navy, Emergency Services and transportation networks for both athletes and the public. A mountainous environment made this particularly difficult. Following its success in similar situations across Europe, TETRA was the system of choice.

In order for the system to work the antennas were required to perform under a wide variety of conditions, including at high temperatures and in marine environments. The purchasers tested the antennas for their ability to operate in these conditions as well as for their general electrical performance. Panorama's wide range of TETRA antennas met all their criteria and were chosen for the event.

Panorama's TETRA antennas continue to ensure ample network coverage both within Rio de Janeiro and throughout the surrounding area.
