TCLIP2 Increases RPU in Australia

Increasing the Revenue per User
Increasing the RPU
With the rapid growth of mobile broadband users in Australia a large service provider was looking at ways to increase the revenue per user and reduce the number of switching customers. With the market price for mobile internet being at an all time low and all the networks advertising the same 7.2mbps speeds, a way to retain the existing customer base was needed.
The main reason behind customers switching networks was identified by the service provider as; low cellular signal resulting in a slower data rate for the broadband dongle. When customers did not get the speeds that they were looking for, they would look at the competition. The service provider has excellent nationwide coverage and the main problem areas were inside large buildings and outside of major towns and cities.
The solution to combat this was to provide every existing customer with an upgraded mobile broadband dongle, which had an antenna connector along with a TCLIP2 antenna from the Panorama range. With the repositioning of the dongles antenna, many customers found the signal strength improve along with data speeds. This has let to a reduced number of returned dongles and more contract renewals.
